Our primary aim was to describe patterns of sponge biodiversity across Doubtful Sound and create a checklist of all the sponge species. We have collected somewhere between 70-80 species across only 4 days, showing the large diversity the fiords support. We are also very much interested in sponges and their friends! And how important sponges are to different species in terms of habitat and food. #spo
