Together with the Texas General Land Office and Texas A&M University’s Conservation and Research Lab, we’ve brought back more history to this sacred site than ever before. The skilled team of scientists at Texas A&M were able to restore and preserve 10 cannons from the Battle of 1836. These cannons are back at the Alamo where they will stay for generations to come. | The Alamo

We are working with the Texas General Land Office to tell the story of the Battle of 1836 by helping visitors see where our Defenders stood and exactly what weapons they used. We still have several of the original cannons used in the Battle of 1836; however, others have been lost to time. Scientists used 3-D renderings, records and photos to replicate some of the cannons lost. | The Alamo
