The Cincinnati Bengals have had defensive issues all year, but the issue was on full display in a shootout loss to the rival Baltimore Ravens to open Week 10. The team attempted to help address that issue by hosting All-Pro cornerback Xavien Howard on a free-agent visit Monday.
Bengals, Xavien Howard failed to agree on deal
The Cincinnati Bengals had veteran cornerback Xavien Howard in for a workout on Monday, but the two sides couldn’t agree on a deal. According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Bengals made an offer to Howard after the workout but he’s since declined and gone back home while awaiting other calls.
