Texas House Democrats returned to Austin for a second special session after fleeing the state to block a redistricting effort by Republicans and Gov. Greg Abbott.

Texas Democrats say they are ending a two-week walkout that stalled Republican efforts to redraw congressional districts to satisfy President Trump’s demands for a greater GOP advantage.

In California, Democrats have 43 of the 52 seats, and they’re trying to boost that to 48, to wipe out the advantage the GOP would gain from redrawing lines in Texas.
