British number one and 2021 US Open winner Emma Raducanu has brought in yet another coach; this time she has called for the help of Francisco Roig, who was the alternate coach for 22-time Grand Slam winner Rafael Nadal.

Chrissie Evert, the 18-time Grand Slam singles champion, knows something about being involved with a fellow tennis player. She and Jimmy Connors were engaged in 1974 and when both players won Wimbledon singles titles that year, they were dubbed the “Love Double.”

Mark Petchey says he is “super happy” for Emma Raducanu after she hired Francisco Roig as her new coach. Petchey started working with the British No. 1 on an ad-hoc basis when they bumped into each other at the Miami Open earlier this year, but he says he was never supposed to be a full-time member of Raducanu’s team.
