Massive rains brought by Hurricane Helene have left many people stranded or homeless as the cleanup begins from the monster tempest that killed at least 84 people. Helene has caused billions of dollars in destruction across a wide swath of the U.

Rescuers are still searching for survivors after heavy rain and wind from Hurricane Helene devastated south-eastern US, leaving more than 60 people dead, destroying homes and causing power outages for millions.

Helene made landfall in Florida's Big Bend region Thursday night as a massive Category 4 hurricane -- the strongest hurricane to make landfall in the Big Bend on record.
