Heading into the 2024-25 NBA regular season, the San Antonio Spurs were viewed as a team with one of the brightest futures due to their collection of young players and draft capital. However, the main reason they were seen this way was star center Victor Wembanyama.

While it's unclear where Wembanyama's clot is located in the shoulder, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) occurs when a blood clot (thrombus) forms in one or more of the deep veins in the body:
