According to reports from NFL Network and ESPN, the Rams are giving Stafford’s reps permission to talk with other teams as the offseason begins. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport added that the development does not stem from a trade request, but it could give Stafford and the Rams a better understanding of the quarterback’s value outside the team.
The Los Angeles Rams entered the offseason with a massive question on the offensive side of the football as Matthew Stafford sounded non-committal about returning for the 2025 NFL season. Stafford led the Rams to the NFC Divisional Round and almost completed the upset against the Philadelphia Eagles before falling short late in the fourth quarter.
