Thirty Palestinian families left their home in a remote area of the Israeli-occupied West Bank on Friday, saying they were forced out after years of persistent harassment and violence by Israeli settlers.

The incident highlights the lack of law and order in parts of the occupied territory where Israelis associated with the settler movement have increasingly attacked Palestinians without consequences.

The Israeli military detained six settlers in the occupied West Bank overnight after the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) say the suspects attacked security forces.
