A day after a one-hour workout, the veteran's aching back is responds well enough to practice for a second consecutive day, providing hope moving forward.

It felt like an eternity between the start of Los Angeles Rams training camp and Matthew Stafford’s first practice on Monday. The veteran quarterback had been sidelined by a back injury for nearly a month but he returned to the field for the first time Monday.

With Stafford back on the field, Jimmy Garoppolo and Stetson Bennett would return to their backup roles. Stafford leads a Rams starting unit that last year went 10-6 behind his 65.8% completion rate, 3,762 yards, 20 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He guided the Rams to the playoffs but fell in the divisional round.
