A 9-year-old boy was caught in the crossfire of a shooting inside of a smoke shop in Antioch last weekend, authorities said.

A vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on the Capital City Freeway in Sacramento was sending up a column of black smoke after one of the vehicles caught fire, the California Highway Patrol reported. The crash involving three vehicles was reported about 4:20 p.m. on the freeway near N Street, according to the CHP’s online dispatch records.
