The RTX 5090 is supposed to have 176 ROPs but, as spotted by some users and sent to TechPowerUp, some apps showed their GPU had just 168. This results in a performance loss.

German retailer Alternate has listed one of the defective RTX 5090 graphics cards with eight missing ROPs, selling it as a "B-stock" option that has been opened but is otherwise in as-new condition.
