Nintendo announced a release date for Kirby Air Riders on Switch 2 and confirmed new game details with Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai.

Kirby Air Riders is set to release exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on November 20. Directed by Smash Bros. head Masahiro Sakurai, Kirby Air Riders is a racing game featuring characters from the world of Kirby.

After going hands-on with the new Nintendo Switch 2 racer, it's clear that Air Riders can coexist on a system with Mario Kart World.

A release date for Kirby Air Riders seems like a safe bet for this Direct. The timing of the showcase is pretty interesting too, as it will air just before Gamescom gets underway. Perhaps Kirby Air Riders will be playable at Nintendo's booth at the event.
