An 18-year-old from North Carolina who had been missing for one week after vacationing with relatives in Florida has been found dead, according to officials.

After more than a week-long search, the body of Giovanni Pelletier, the 18-year-old who went missing in Florida on Aug. 1, has been found, according to family members and officials.

The body of what appears to be a male has been discovered near the area where missing 18-year-old Giovanni Pelletier was last seen in Florida. Giovanni disappeared on Aug. 1 after getting picked up by three cousins in Englewood.
