Following his move to Philadelphia, LeBron James' decision to commute from New York via helicopter evoked uncomfortable memories of Kobe Bryant among 76ers fans.

LeBron James is facing backlash after revealing he's commuting between New York and Philly by helicopter during the NBA season.

The fog rolled in thick, and the clouds hung low over the hills west of Los Angeles that Sunday morning. Kobe Bryant was in a helicopter with his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, and seven others, headed to a basketball game. The aircraft flew into a hillside in Calabasas, and everyone aboard died.

The clip shows a helicopter taking off, but LeBron’s reported plans to split time between Philadelphia and New York give the footage an intriguing context. A helicopter rises from a rooftop and flies away.
