For eight years, The Roku Channel has been one of the better free streaming options available. It hosts live content plus on-demand TV shows and movies, all for no charge ( Roku says it has "thousands of free TV shows and hit movies," plus more than 500 live TV channels).

You can watch USA Network on DirecTV, which also comes with your local NBC station. New users are eligible for a five-day free trial through DirecTV when you sign up for one of its four packages. Every streaming package includes USA Network as well as CNBC, MSNBC and dozens of other channels.
Disney pulled its channels including ESPN and ABC from YouTube TV after contract negotiations between the companies failed, but some alternative services offering the channels have free trials for viewers.
You can watch free live TV on Roku via the Roku Channel or other free channels, or via subscription-based services.

At midnight on Oct. 30, the distribution deal between Disney, which owns ESPN, ABC and numerous other networks, ended, and at present, there's no deal in place to keep the networks on the nation's most popular live TV streaming service.
