Chicago police said around 8:15 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of West Grand Avenue for a report of a person shot.

Chicago police were searching for multiple suspects after three people, including a teenager, were injured in a drive-by shooting on the city’s Southwest Side, police said. The shooting was reported at around 4:13 a.

A police officer was killed Saturday after responding to a shooting at UPMC Memorial Hospital just outside of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where the suspected gunman also was killed, according to state police.

"Our hearts are heavy today as we mourn the loss of two heroic Virginia Beach police officers who were tragically killed in the line of duty last night. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families, the Virginia Beach police department, and the law enforcement community," Rep. Jen Kiggins, whose district in Congress includes Virginia Beach, said.
