The financial-services platform is making a smart move by getting deeper into cryptocurrencies, analysts say, as it will expand its customer base.

Co-founder and CEO Vlad Tenev said Robinhood's new offerings "lay the groundwork for crypto to become the backbone of the global financial system." Shares of Robinhood Markets jumped a further 5% Monday morning to about $98 after touching a record $99.06 soon after markets opened. They are up more than 160% in 2025.

Robinhood Markets Inc is joining the growing push to trade US equities on the blockchain, making tokenised US securities available to 150,000 customers in 30 countries, 24 hours a day, five days a week.
