Cincinnati Reds superstar Elly De La Cruz has reportedly been dealing with a quad injury for most of the season, but it seems to be getting better now.

On Tuesday night, Hendrick had a two-home run game for the Chattanooga Lookouts. The 24-year-old has really struggled over five minor league seasons, slashing .210/.295/.365 with 706 strikeouts in 490 games, but he has shown some promise in Double-A Chattanooga this season.

The Reds felt great about their starting pitching depth after the trade deadline, and they could get some of that back soon with Nick Lodolo trending toward a return. But for now, Lodolo and Chase Burns are on the IL and the rotation depth doesn’t look so strong.

With a decade-long playoff drought on track to be extended to eleven seasons, the Angels have some long-term pieces in place to break the drought—including shortstop Zach Neto. Neto debuted for the Angels just one year after the organization selected him with the 13th overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft.
